### work in progress ### course not ready ###

The goal of this course is to provide maintenance professionals with a comprehensive understanding of various maintenance systems, including reactive, preventive, predictive, proactive, and prescriptive maintenance. Through detailed descriptions and analysis of the benefits associated with each system, participants will gain the knowledge necessary to evaluate and implement the most appropriate maintenance strategies for their specific operational contexts. This foundational knowledge will support the establishment of a successful predictive maintenance system, which is crucial for optimising asset reliability and performance. Upon completion of this course, participants will have reliably demonstrated an ability to identify and articulate the key characteristics and advantages of each maintenance system. They will be equipped to critically assess the suitability of different maintenance approaches for their organisations, considering factors such as cost efficiency, risk management, and long-term asset health. Additionally, participants will develop the skills to design and implement a predictive maintenance programme, leveraging data analytics and condition monitoring technologies to anticipate and prevent equipment failures. This holistic understanding will empower maintenance professionals to make informed decisions that enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend the lifespan of critical assets.

The goal of this course is to equip reliability engineers and vibration analysts with a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively utilise time waveform analysis for the detection and diagnosis of technical problems in machinery. By the end of this intensive week-long course, participants will have gained the skills necessary to interpret time waveform data accurately and to apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios to enhance machinery reliability and performance. Throughout the course, learners will explore the theoretical foundations of time waveform analysis and its practical applications in vibration analysis. They will develop the ability to identify and differentiate between various types of mechanical faults through waveform patterns, such as imbalance, misalignment, and bearing defects. Additionally, participants will learn to integrate time waveform analysis with other diagnostic tools to form a holistic approach to machinery health monitoring. The course will also focus on fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills, enabling participants to make informed decisions based on waveform data. By engaging in hands-on exercises and case studies, learners will build confidence in their ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues. Ultimately, this course aims to enhance the participants' proficiency in using time waveform analysis to maintain and improve the reliability of mechanical systems.
